Wreck-Gar joins the Animated family! The Animated series brings back many G1 characters and also our childhood. I don't remember well the G1 story, but every G1 character is part of my memory. I know Wreck-Gar is the Junkion leader but I can't remember how significant he was in Transformers the Movie. Anyway, I know I have to get this figure :P Animated Wreck-Gar is a garbage truck, which fits very well his Junkion identity. His robot mode (in this color scheme) also let you think of G1 Wreck-Gar at once. Both robot mode and vehicle mode are very nice. It is a good figure for display. However, this is not a very good TF toy. Robot mode is poseable, but backpack is too heavy to stand well. Truck mode is good, but transformation system is too simple for a voyager class toy. I will not make any complaint if it is a deluxe toy. Well, let enjoy this little gallery. (click to enlarge the photos)
In package images and boxart.
Very nice garbage truck mode. The lifting fork is moveable! See the animation!
(Of course you have to move it with your hand!)
A bit smaller than Optimus Prime.
There is also a slot to store the weapon.
Robot mode also looks good.
Wreck-Gar is poseable, but with a big backpack, he can only stand upright.
Didn't add a TF post for a really long time. I didn't expect that the figures from Revenge of the Fallen come out that soon. I found Voyager Optimus Prime, Demolisher, FAB Megatron and Jolt in package! I bought the Voyager Demolisher rather than Optimus Prime as it is a new mold. I really had some hesitation on picking up Demolisher as it doesn't really have a robot mode, but as a diehard fan of Transformers, a new mold beats everything. The vehicle mode is a excavator. As a member of the constructicons, this vehicle mode is really cool and nice. The mechanics is very detailed. I love this excavator mode very much. However, it is very disappointing that the caterpillar band is not moveable, and also the cockpit. How can it dig the mud without turning its shovel? The transformation system as a voyager toy is also too simple. For the robot mode, you can't except too much neither. Demolisher does not really have a humanoid mode, it has a single big wheel as "leg". Though it looks really like a piece of crap, I kinda like it as it is strong. With a pair of big arms, it looks like a giant gorilla! I really hope that later Hasbro will offer add-on figures to let it combine to Devastator! Anyway, lets have a look of this beast! Bio. Constructions are stupid.
I like this boxart style.
What does this symbol mean?
This is the voyager Optimus Prime in the same wave. I hate so many repaints!
Really nice excavator mode, and very detailed. What a pity that it is not moveable.
At least have a little gimmick.
Robot mode really sucks...
Many people do not like the face sculpt of movie figures, but I like how evil they are.
Lets see how I dig out the fun of Demolisher, "Eat my kick, Optimus Prime!"
